Belgische atleet vestigt mythisch wereldrecord: loopt 1046 kilometer in zes dagen. Een marathon van 42,195 kilometer is voor velen al een uitdaging, maar niet voor de 30-jarige ultraloper Matthieu Bonne. De Belg liep de afgelopen zes dagen net wat verder: 1046 kilometer en 296 meter om precies te zijn. 21 uur per dag was hij aan het lopen, met telkens slechts twaalf minuten pauze per drie uur tijd. Toen het laatste uur in ging, kon de atleet al zeggen dat hij het wereldrecord had gebroken.
